07. Birthday お誕生日

Last week I celebrated my birthday. I used to really dislike my birthdays but I think I'm now happy with who I am and I'm exited to see what's going to happen in the future- becoming even better, travelling more, being happier. I decided to wear one of my most precious dresses since it was a special day! The dress bodice is in velvet so soon it'll be also too warm to wear it.

Outfit rundown:
Dress- Rose Flocky Puff sleeves by Victorian Maiden
Headpiece - Axes femme
Shoes - Shibuya 109 tower

My friends and me went to an Indonesian restaurant that was absolutely lovely decorated. The food was also delicious, I had a plate of noodles with spinach, cabbage, carrot and tofu!

One of my friend ordered a coconut curry and let me tried it, it was sooo good!

And my dessert, deep-fried bananas!

Okonomiyaki night! It's my favorite japanese dish. お好み焼き is a pancake filled with either vegetables, noodles, meat.. That is served on a hot plate on your table so you can grill it yourself. It's very yummy! The topping is made with katsuobushi (very thin scraps of tuna), aonori powder (the green powder-it's seaweed) and mayonnaise. I also love doing these at home as it's a great way to cook your vegetables really quickly.

06. Osaka- 大阪 / Hankyu 2015 French Fair 【阪急うめだ本店フランスフェア2015!】

During my internship I worked at a fair that was held in Osaka by the department store Hankyu. The fair was about France, so I had a really good time! After the end of my day, I went around to take some pictures of the beautiful things that were sold here. There was a food mall and a fashion alley, both full of french things- wine and cheese, but also lovely items reminding of french culture.

Then.. this booth was like it was made for me. A explosion of pink, lace and flowers, in a very kitsch way- my friend giggled when she saw the items. Grandma style.
I didn't resisted for long and bought the giant pillow cover with the cat!

This bag with the rabbit was so adorable and precious.

After browsing the fashion alley, I went into the food mall.
This person was making eclairs, a french sweet consisting of a dough filled with custard or flavoured whipped cream, and iced with sugar. It's awesome to combine the french cuisine with the japanese touch for cutesy!

A small thing that made me smile- trying to pass these as "omg traditionnal french food" that is way overpriced- it was just very simple supermarket, industrial stuff you can buy everywhere in France.

I came across a booth selling the most beautiful tea boxes I'd never seen. The details on the drawings were so precious. The seller made me a little cup of one of the tea (the "Ventre plat" which means "Flat stomach".. aha) and it was delicious. But honestly I just wanted one because of the box!

And for the end, delicious french baguette and traditionnal topping such as rouille or tapenade! Missed it so much, it was wonderful to taste some!
