14. It's been a while - お久しぶりです

I haven't really wrote anything in almost a year on my blog- I'm sorry. Life has been quite busy... And after leaving Japan, looking at the memories I had captured within my pictures was very hard.
Lately, I've been really looking forward the end of my studies- after all, I've been in college for five years now. I'm graduating from my master degree next year

It's been a lot of stress on me, especially with the constant moving in and out (the cities where I live, study, and work are all different) and I guess I reached an age where I want to settle down. But until graduation I'll do my best!

I went to America in May and June, to Seattle, and took my share of pictures of course, so stay tuned for a new post soon! Meanwhile, here's some slice of life pics.

New bento box for lunch. It's from Bento&co and I bought it at Nature et Découverte in Paris.
It's very pretty but not so practical, being quite heavy.

Of course, currently living in Paris, I couldn't not go to my favorite store, Axes Femme
I needed a big sized bag to use on my working days and this one was totally perfect -cute but still elegant, and this shade of reddish brown goes with my office outfits well.

After a few years of not using Lush products anymore, I decided to give it another try and bought some products for this summer. ✿

Here's my USA haul for crafting. Did I mention I absolutely loved Jo-Ann? The choice of fabrics there is amazing, and the prices twice as cheap as France. I got some of these cute fabric for my friend Emma and some for myself, hope I can make something nice out of it. I also got a little felt Pinguin in Daiso, which I'll try to make when I can find some free time.

Thank you for reading, I'm sorry again for not posting anything for so long.

13. Spring 2016 Anime recommandations

Re:ゼロから始める異世界生活
Re:Zero kara hajimeru isekai seikatsu
Adventure / Fantasy
25 eps (4 already out)

A story taking place in a typical fantasy world with the twist of "Revival".
Subaru, a lame high school student, found himself transported in another world on his way back from the convenience store. Soon, he's attacked by street thugs only to be saved by a beautiful girl dressed in white with silver hair. He then decides to tag along to help her finding an insignia she lost, but when they finally find a clue, they are both brutally murdered. Subaru dies while wishing he could at least had saved her, but at his surprise, wakes up in the original place he appeared in this world.

At the end of the first episode, I knew this was going to be a good anime. Sadly, Subaru is your typical shounen hero, but I have a soft spot for fantasy settings so I'll let it go for now, hoping for some character developpement. I liked the fact he got send to this world without any special ability or power, whereas the heroine shows off impressive battle strengh from the beginning. The theme of time looping- reaching for a happy ending where no one gets killed isn't new (like the Higurashi and Umineko series, or Boku dake ga Inai machi more recently) but with music and art design on point, I think it will be one of the hits of this season.

甲鉄城のカバネリ
Koutetsujou no Kabaneri
Action / Horror / Fantasy
Number of eps unknown (2 already out)

Twenty years ago, monsters known as the "Kabane"-zombie like figures with hearts protected from damage with a layer of iron- pushed people into chaos and despair. In a dark world reminding us of the industrial revolution period, humanity had to hid in fortified cities known as stations, as their access and transport between them is done with a huge steam locomotive. The story revolves around a boy called Ikoma who works building and maintening the steam trains, while he conducts his own research on how to destroy the Kabane with a new weapon he made.

With only one episode out, Kabaneri was already settled as maybe the best anime of this year, and I got abord the hype train as well.
Beautiful, god-tier animation reminding of Ghibli movies such as Mononoke, original content (not an adaption of a manga or novel) and an awesome cast for music- OST was composed by Sawano Hirayuki  (Attack on Titans, Kill la Kill, Aldnoah Zero, etc) opening song by EGOIST (Psycho-Pass, Guilty Crown) and ending song by Aimer (Fate/Stay night) of course it could only have been epic. The story is indeed remincescent of AoT, with monster-like figures threatening what's left of humanity hiding behind walls and a young boy rising as a hero determined to wipe them out, but the side characters are looking promising. Definitely worth a watch!
It's worth taking note than the third episode was delayed because of the Kumamoto earthquake, it will be released end of April.

Mystery / Drama
12 eps (3 already out)

30 people decide to give up on their current life for different reasons, and head together deep in the forest aboard a bus to the mysterious village "Nanakimura", rumored to be a self-providing community hidden away from the pressure modern society is inducing. However, among so many people with totally different personnalities and mindset, fights soon break out when things aren't going smoothly during the trip. When they reach the promised heaven, the village is deserted and has a creepy atmosphere, and then people start to disappear..

I'm on the edge about recommanding this one, as the synopsis looks interesting to me- pretty generic for a horror anime, but I like the challenge of using so many characters for such a short anime. The character development will probably be next to none, but I like to see all the weirdos running wild: the survival maniac, the thug, the psycopath, the lovey-dovey couple...However, the pace is surprisingly very, very slow. I was expecting to enjoy a bloodbath similar the infamous Another, but with already three episodes out and not a single death confirmed, I'm quite surprised. Nonetheless the anime is rated R with violence, so I can only wait for it and hope it won't be too rushed towards the end.

12. My favorite Axes Femme necklaces ☆ 一番好きなアクシーズファムネックレス

Hello everyone,

It's been a long time! I had a lot of changes in my life other the past few months but I finally feel ready again to write on my blog and take pictures. Today, I want to introduce you to a few jewelry pieces from my favorite brand, Axes femme.
. You can buy these on their online shop here (but will need a shopping service) http://shop.axesfemme.com/

This gorgeous piece is like a queen's necklace. It's absolutely wonderful, with delicate roses and jewellry in purple and pink tones- my favorite colors!

It totally deserved a close up.

This one is a 2-in-1 necklace! You can wear it like pictured or separate it in two and wear either the cameo small necklace or a simple but elegant pearl necklace. The combo with pearls and silver strass is a classic.

Another purple necklace! This one features a cute little key with a butterfly. The shorter rose piece can also be separated. It's one of my most worn pieces as it's very casual.

A very dark one. This gothic choker holds a special place in my heart as it was released for the A/W 2015 collection just when I left Japan, but my boyfriend placed the order for me and I got it! I was really happy ehe.

A necklace made of lace material. It's really delicate and the unusual grey colorway make it unique.

You can actually find a lot of butterflies in Axes Femme jewelry, it's a recurrent theme.

I hoped you liked the pictures! I plan on more articles introducing this brand as it's not well-knew in Europe and I love it so much. Is there's anything special you'd like to see? Thank you for reading!
